The inaugural Phil Noble 4-a-side Memorial Tournament in the Cardigan & District Darts League was a huge success, and did great credit to Phil who was a popular player in the league for many years.
In a thrilling final Steve Jerry Williams, Norman Jenkins, Roy Noble and his son Daniel emerged 4-2 winners over Jamie Bowen, Adam Williams, Rhys Jones and Daniel Jones.
Afterwards Phil Noble’s brother and keen competitor Roy said “It was a superb competition and the family would like to thank everyone who took part.”
Successful darts function
Around 70 players and guests attended a hugely successful annual Cardigan men and ladies darts leagues joint presentation dinner at the golf club in Gwbert at the weekend.
Pride of place went to the Lamb Inn with Tafarn Yr Oen lifting the championship in the men’s league for an unprecedented ninth successive season while the watering hole’s ladies retained their title.
The various trophies were presented by ladies league sponsor Peter Fletcher of Penrallt Garden Centre, Moylegrove.
