Cardigan Town of the Costcutter Ceredigion Football League have appointed classy midfielder James Evans as new player/manager.
The 34-year-old was an ever-present in the all-conquering Town side in season 2014-15 and has also had spells with Goodwick United in the Pembrokeshire League and Newcastle Emlyn in the Welsh League.
After his appointment was confirmed at the weekend the popular player said his top priority over the next few weeks would be to re-establish a reserve team and also hold summer training sessions to keep up fitness levels.
“There are a lot of promising youngsters at the club and I believe it is important to have a second team so that young players can come through.”
