Cardigan turned on the style in beating visitors Pembroke Dock Quins 64-0 as player coach Colin Davies ran out for the very last game in the club colours on Saturday.
It was a fitting tribute to a man who has enjoyed an outstanding career with both his home town club and at Narberth for several years when the Otters were the top side in Pembrokeshire.
Davies, who is the current team coach and who came up through the junior ranks with his brothers Barry and Stuart is one of the most talented number eights to have played for Cardigan and up there with some of the very best of any era at the Gwbert Road based club.
The popular rugby man, who is the proprietor of Teifi Kitchens in Cardigan, is also giving up his coaching responsibilities to devote more time to his business and young family and he will be sorely missed by the Gollop Stand faithful.
