TANYGRAIG were in top form as they emerged winners from a nailbiting Grand Final of the annual Emlyn Sports Club Super Darts tournament.

The first half of the evening's play saw the Tanygraig four win maximum points from their three matches with the Rampin team also throwing great darts to remain unbeaten at the interval.

Clwb Rygbi Crymych and Crymych Arms were chasing close behind with Cardigan Rugby A and Tafarn yr Oen B struggling to find their best form.

After the break, Tanygraig and Rampin both slipped up on one occasion each, letting last year's winners Clwb Rygbi Crymych back into the fray.

This left the top three on eight points apiece resulting in a play-off between the top two with the lowest average scores.

In the decider for top spot Tanygraig overcame a valiant Rampin challenge to clinch the title for 2019.

The highest out score trophy was awarded to Richard Vaughan of Clwb Rygbi Crymych with an out score of 112.

The trophies and prize monies were presented by club stalwart John Thomas.

MC was Geraint Jones and scorers were John Adams, Peter Esau and Andrew Jones.

The winners of each of the six sections were involved in the battle for the prize money and trophies with a total of £650 at stake.

The Plough Hotel, Newcastle Emlyn, sponsored the winners and runners-up trophies.
