There will be a Costcutter Football League club in the final of the J Emrys Morgan Cup after St Dogmaels and Lampeter Town were paired in the semi-final draw.

Division One leaders Saints thumped Crannog 5-0 in the last eight while Town brushed aside visitors Bow Street Reserves 5-1 at North Road.

The Teifi Estuary villagers lifted the coveted trophy for the only time in season 1994-95 when beating Llanrhaeadr and have been runners-up on two occasions. In the last eight Jason Williams and colleagues sprang a 5-0 away win over Crannog.

Lampeter won the cup in 2014 under now retired manager Terry Jones and with new manager and defender Terry Witts in charge are 180 minutes away from further glory.

The two Costcutter big guns go head-to-head at Newcastle Emlyn on Tuesday, March 26.

In the other semi-final Cambrian Tyres Aberystwyth & District League pacesetters Penparcau, who knocked out JT Hughes Montgomeryshire League leaders Guilsfield Reserves 4-2 at the quarter-final stage, take on another Montgomeryshire League outfit Bishops Castle at the Recreation Ground in Caersws on Wednesday, March 27.

Before that the Aberystwyth high-flyers visit School Field in St Dogmaels this coming Saturday for a long-awaited Cwpan Coffa Dai Dynamo Davies quarter-final tie.

In the Costcutter Easter Monday Cup semi-final St Dogmaels have been drawn against Llandysul on Tuesday, March 12, while Crannog take on Felinfach the following Tuesday.
