All over bar the shouting – that’s how the situation appears in the Cardigan and District Pool League after leaders Lamb A brushed aside second in the table Rugby Club 8-2 at the clubhouse and soared 17 points clear at the top with four batches of fixtures remaining.

Veteran Lamb skipper Dave Townsend led by example as he brushed aside new Wales international Leigh Davies to set the visitors on their way and from there on it was virtually plain sailing.

Red Lion’s hopes of completing a title hat-trick sank out of sight after the champs went down 6-4 at the Bowling Club leaving them 20 points from the summit.
