A TEAM of indoor rowers from Ceredigion recently took part in at the British Rowing Indoor Rowing Championships in Lee Valley Velopark, London.
It was a fantastic experience for the members of CRÎW (Ceredigion Workout Indoor Rowing) a Ceredigion Actif initiative to promote indoor rowing for fitness, enjoyment and competition if desired.
Beri Tomkins, a Year 6 pupil from Ysgol Bro Sion Cwilt, Synod Inn, won gold in her age category rowing a personal best.
Beri was presented with her medal by three times Olympic gold medallist Peter Reed OBE.
Other competitors who took part were Dafydd Wright, Year 11, and Che Owen, Year 10, who were both very competitive. Leo O'Connor (60-plus) just missed out on a bronze medal with a great row.
