Haverfordwest could be the next in line for a drive-thru coffee fix, but it would mean the loss of a petrol station.

Following the opening of its drive-thru in Milford Haven, Costa Coffee has plans to open a similar site in the county town.

According to a planning application by Motor Fuel Group Ltd, permission is sought to demolish the Texaco petrol station at Withybush Retail Park and build a drive-thru facility, with indoor seating and 29 car park spaces.

Tivyside Advertiser:

A document supporting the application to Pembrokeshire County Council states that it is "of a high quality design and will provide a more attractive ‘gateway’ building to the Withybush Retail Park."

It says around 18 full and part-time jobs will be created and minimum opening hours of 5am to 11pm will be sought.

Costa Coffee also has two nearby franchises at Withybush Hospital and Debenhams department store, as well as a Costa shop at Riverside, Haverfordwest.

Comments can be made on the application until April 3. Search for planning application 18/1252/PA on the council's website.
