Whether you’re all about walking, wildlife watching, history and mystery, making a splash or epic family adventures, there’s plenty to see and do with the National Trust in Pembrokeshire.

The conservation charity cares for miles (and miles!) of the county’s coast and countryside, along with historic houses, colourful gardens and an array of accommodation. Plus by visiting one of the National Trust’s special places you’re also doing your bit to help safeguard them for future generations to enjoy.

Here are 10 of the National Trust’s must-visit places in Pembrokeshire:

1. Colby Woodland Garden

Nestled in a hidden valley near Amroth, Colby Woodland Garden is a riot of colour and a must-visit throughout the year. Follow winding woodland trails, admire seasonal blooms in the walled garden and let little ones enjoy natural play with pond dipping, tree climbing and den building.

2. Tudor Merchant’s House

If you’re all about history and mystery, step back in time at the Tudor Merchant’s House in Tenby and see what life was like in the 1500s. Uncover the superstitions and secrets of Tudor sleep as we launch our Don’t Let the Bed Bugs Bite programme of activities (13 April to 3 November).

3. Stackpole

Stackpole’s 2,000-acre estate is a magical mosaic of habitats; an historic designed landscape makes way for a beautifully rugged stretch of coastline. Head to Broad Haven South for beach adventures, Bosherston Lakes for woodland walks and the Boathouse Tea-room for a bite to eat with a sea view.

4. Gupton Farm

Tucked behind Freshwater West, you’ll find Gupton Farm, our coastal campsite, farmhouse accommodation and visitor hub. 5. Marloes Peninsula

Head to the very western edge of Pembrokeshire and you’ll discover the Marloes Peninsula.

Visit Marloes Sands for stunning seascapes and sandy adventures, and the nearby Marloes Mere wetland for bird watching all year-round. In autumn, spot Atlantic grey seals and their pups along the coast with our guided ranger walks.

6. Southwood Estate

For a glimpse into rural life, head to the Southwood Estate, our home farm for North Pembrokeshire near Newgale. Follow our walking trails through woodland and floral fields, along with the coast path, visit the shearing shed for information, come along to one of our flagship events and maybe even spot our herd of Welsh Black cattle.

7. Solva Coast

Heritage hunting is easy along the Solva Coast. Go for a waterfront walk and uncover the area’s maritime history, venture up to the Gribin headland to see an Iron Age fort and follow the route down to Gwadn beach. 8. St David’s Peninsula
