Little Tilly was stuck about 20 feet above above the sea.

Shortly after 5pm, St Davids Coastguard Rescue Team and HM Coastguard Fishguard were called to the cliff at Ynys Fach, near Porthgain.

Battling through dark, wet, and windy conditions, the teams managed to reunite the petrified pooch with its owners.

Tivyside Advertiser:

Tilly, who suffered just a cut head, was reunited some four hours later with her local owners.

Posting on social media, St Davids Coastguard Rescue Team said: “After careful consideration and planning, the two teams worked brilliantly together to undertake a long, difficult, successful rescue in dark, wet, and windy conditions.

“A great outcome, with one very happy dog returned to her owners.

“Both teams returned to their stations at 9pm.

“Huge thanks to all involved. Special thanks to the owners of Henllys Farm for assisting with an access route across their land.”
