WITH his soaring top notes and easy charm, Welsh tenor and Pembrokeshire star Trystan Llŷr Griffiths will be headlining a fabulous festive concert in the county to mark the start of advent.

Being staged by Span Arts at Pisgah Chapel, Llandissilio next Sunday (December 2), at 7pm, the concert will also feature talented local sopranos Jessica Robinson and Sioned Llewellyn.

Trystan, who studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London, the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff and National Opera Studio in London, is fast making his mark on the international opera stage.

As well as performing all over the UK, he is in great demand worldwide.

Lyric soprano Jessica, currently a post-graduate student at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, is well known for her classical style and exciting performance. She is a contender to represent Wales in the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World 2019.

Meanwhile Sioned, currently studying opera at the Royal Academy of Music in London, is another rising star who was a first prize winner at the 2018 Urdd National Eisteddfod.

The artistes will all be accompanied by Meinir Jones-Parry and local school choirs from Ysgol Beca and Ysgol Brynconin will also be performing, accompanied by Catrin Davies.

Mince pies and mulled wine will be on offer to add to the festive atmosphere of the evening.
