CHANGES planned for two railway bridges south of Haverfordwest will be on display for the public at a drop-in at the start of next month, with road closures planned.

The Pembroke Road railway bridge (crossing Pembroke Road) and Milford Road railway bridge (crossing the A4076 on Dredgeman Hill) are set to be replaced by Network Rail, costing £4,25m.

Roads will be closed for two weekends so work can take place on each bridge at separate times.

Pembroke Road will be closed from 8pm on Friday, January 18 for the weekend and the A4076 will be closed from 7pm on Friday, February 15 for the weekend.

There will be a drop-in event on Tuesday, December 4 between 3.30pm and 6.30pm.

Members of the public are welcome to come at any time without appointment to see what the replacement work will mean.

Network Rail says both bridges are coming toward the end of their lifespans, with Milford Road bridge being built in 1939 and Pembroke Road bridge originally built in 1856 with reconstruction work last done in 1937.
