FIREFIGHTERS were called to Durdle Door after a man was spotted in a "precarious position".
A number of calls were made to the fire service by concerned members of the public who spotted the 28-year-old man at the top of the iconic landmark.
"We mobilised two tech teams, two fire engines and an officer to assist", the fire service said.
"Upon arrival crews located a 28-year-old man who had climbed over a safety barrier and walked past a warning sign to access the top of the arch because he wanted to 'have a look'.
"He could not understand what all the fuss was about.
"Please think about how your actions may appear to others and consider the implications of such reckless actions on resources."
