Ceredigion's Welsh Liberal Democrat MP Mark Williams has this week launched an on-line version of his NHS Inquiry due to overwhelming demand. Having already received an excellent early response to his Ceredigion-wide NHS Inquiry, the responses have continued to pour into his Ceredigion constituency office during the past week. To give as wide a range an opportunity as possible for all residents to fill in his survey, he has launched a bilingual on-line NHS Inquiry to meet demand.

Over 20,000 homes in Ceredigion have already received a detailed 'NHS Inquiry' from their local MP asking for their opinions on the National Health Service in Ceredigion. It gives residents the opportunity to give their opinions on a wide range of health services currently being delivered throughout the county. It asks for residents general opinions on the running of the NHS locally as well as more detailed observations on GP services, local hospitals in Aberystwyth, Cardigan and Tregaron, in-patient treatment and NHS dentistry.

On launching his on-line NHS Inquiry, Mark Williams MP said: "I've been delighted with the response that I've received so far to my NHS Inquiry. I've had hundreds of responses already and even two weeks on, I'm still receiving high numbers back on a daily basis and I know that many of those have been returned as a direct result of seeing the launch in the Tivy Side.

"This fantastic response just goes to show how important the NHS is for everyone in Ceredigion. From the initial returns, I have noticed a number of concerns being raised but also much support for the excellent work that the staff in our hospitals and GP surgeries are undertaking for their patients. So whether the experiences of our local NHS services in Ceredigion have been positive or negative, the over-riding sense is that local residents are keen to write those experiences down.

"Due to this overwhelming demand for my NHS Inquiry, I have therefore launched an on-line version so that everyone can fill it in and send it back to me. The Welsh version can be found at http://www.libertyresearch.org.uk/take/560 and the english version at http://www.libertyresearch.org.uk/take/561.

"But for those who have not got a computer or who would rather fill out a traditional paper copy of my Inquiry, there is still plenty of time for residents to do so and if anyone would like additional hard copies, please don't hesitate to contact me at my constituency office on 01970 615880 to ask for one".
