Ceredigion's Welsh Liberal Democrat MP Mark Williams has welcomed an excellent early response to his Ceredigion-wide NHS Inquiry which he launched last week.

Over 20,000 homes in Ceredigion have received a detailed 'NHS Inquiry' from their local MP asking for their opinions on the National Health Service in Ceredigion. It gives residents the opportunity to give their opinions on a wide range of health services currently being delivered throughout the county. It asks for residents general opinions on the running of the NHS locally as well as more detailed observations on GP services, local hospitals in Aberystwyth, Cardigan and Tregaron, in-patient treatment and NHS dentistry.

With hundreds of responses already being returned to his constituency office, Mark Williams MP said: "I've been delighted with the response that I've received so far to my NHS Inquiry. I've had literally hundreds of responses already and they are continuing to come back in high numbers on a daily basis and I know that many of those have been returned as a direct result of seeing the launch in the local press.

"This just goes to show how important the NHS is for everyone in Ceredigion. From the initial returns, I have noticed a number of concerns being raised but also much support for the excellent work that the staff in our hospitals and GP surgeries are undertaking for their patients.

"There is still plenty of time for residents who have yet to respond to do so and if anyone would like additional copies of my 'NHS Inquiry', please don't hesitate to contact me at my constituency office on 01970 615880 to ask for one".
