Although the weather has forced the cancellation of tonight’s Sunset Cinema at the Pembrokeshire Sunflower Farm, the attraction is still open to visitors.
Despite the wind and rain, the farm’s golden fields of sunflowers are still blooming - albeit a little battered by rain and wind - for people to pick and enjoy.
To9night, Saturday August 24, the farm was due to host a screening of Top Gun: Maverick, starring Tom Cruise, but alerted the potential audience this week: “We have jointly decided with Torch Theatre due to the ever-changing miserable weather forecast to CANCEL Saturday's film showing.
"If the weather apps are wrong - and my goodness, we hope they are - then the field will be open until late for anyone who wishes to see the sun go down over the field while enjoying a picnic listening to the bees buzzing around.
"Come back summer, all is forgiven."
The Pembrokeshire Sunflower Farm is located at Trefaes Ganol, SA43 3PF, between Moylegrove and Llechryd and features eight acres of sunflower fields.
The farm is open daily between 10,30am and 5.30pm, but out-of-hours visitors are welcome and can contribute to the honesty box in aid of Tenovus.
There’s a woodland play area, bug hotel, pedal tractors and disc golf to entertain all ages.
Admission is £8 per car, and you can pick sunflowers to take home for £1 each.
