FISHING and the use of the sea will be banned in parts of Ceredigion for a period in June to allow for military exercises.

The Ministry of Defence published a public notice in the Tivyside Advertiser on Tuesday, May 17, that will require the ‘Aberporth Sea Area’ to be clear from shipping daily from 9.30am to 5pm between June 6 and 10 and June 13 to 15.

A spokesman for the MOD Aberporth Range said that this applies to the inner and outer sea danger area and is for their annual exercises.

Nobody should be in the affected area whether to remain there or pass through.

Nobody should look for any form of projectiles in the water or on land or remove anything.
