A FENCE on a Cardigan housing estate is in a poor state of repair and needs urgent attention, according to the town mayor.
Cllr Debra Griffiths told fellow councillors that the fence at Bro Teifi was ‘falling to pieces’.
“It’s a shambles, to be quite honest,” she said. “If a child manages to get through that fence they would go straight out onto the main road.”
Members were told the fence was the responsibility of the Barcud housing association and Cllr Griffiths pledged to send them photos.
Cllr John Adams-Lewis agreed that the fence needed fixing ‘as a matter of urgency’.
“It’s awful,” confirmed Cllr Griffiths. “People use Bro Teifi as a short cut so a fence is certainly needed there.”
