CARDIGAN town councillors have welcomed plans for a new house opposite Tesco.
They were told no objections had been received in relation to plans for an erection of a dwelling and carport at 38 Y Rhos.
Cllr Steffan Morgan told colleagues that the application put forward appeared ‘straightforward’, although recommendations had been made both by Welsh Water and Ceredigion County Council planners.
Cllr Clive Davies observed that the location was on a bend and conceded it ‘would be quite a squeeze’ to situate a new house on the small plot.
“There are quite a few hurdles to clear,” he said.
However, Cllr Shan Williams added that planning and building control would ensure everything would be done correctly.
“This site is not used for anything and the plans before us do not show anything out of character with the area, so I support this,” she added.
