CARDIGAN town councillors will hold a full debate on the controversial issue of second homes and short-term holiday lets early in the New Year.
They have received notification of a consultation on planning legislation and policy from Neil Hemington, head of the Welsh Government’s Planning Directorate.
Cllr John Adams-Lewis said: “Neil was at one time based in the planning department in Aberaeron, so he should be aware of the problems we face in this part of the world.”
A recent report revealed Ceredigion had the fifth-highest number of second homes in Wales.
Councillors were told Ceredigion County Council would have to respond to the consultation by February.
Members agreed to put the matter on the February agenda in order to hold a full discussion.
