Cardigan Golf Club held their regular Seniors Section Yellow Tee Stableford on Thursday, November 11, with 23 entries across two divisions.

In division one, for handicaps 1-18, the winner was Ned Kelly with 40 stableford points, playing off 18.

In second place on countback was Eirian Lewis with 36 points, playing off 11, and in third place, also on countback and also with 36 points, was Rhod Evans, playing off 9.

In division two, for handicaps 19 and over, the winner was Bernie Feenan with 39 points, playing off 25.

In second place was John Rees with 37 points, playing off 29, and in third place on countback was Steff Jenkins with 31 points, playing off 26.

On Sunday, November 14, the Captains’ Farewell 4 ball better ball team stableford was played, with an excellent entry of 21 teams.

The winners with 99 points were G Morris, C Davies, J Emanuel and C Walters.

In second place on countback were A Jones, J Pegg, A Evans and S Price with 96 points, and in third place, also with 96 points, were K Rose, G Lang, R Griffiths and N Davies.

Cardigan Golf Club held the Monthly White Tee stableford competition on Saturday , November 6, with 20 entries, and scoring was difficult in the cold and damp conditions.

The winner with 37 stableford points was Chris Truslove, playing off a handicap of 26.

In second place was Paul Lewis with 35 points, playing off 11, and in third place with 31 points was Vaughan Jones, playing off 18.

The Seniors Section continue to hold their weekly yellow tee stableford competitions.

On Thursday, October 21, there were 27 entries and in the division one category for handicaps 1-18, the winner was Nick Cowland with 36 points, playing off 15.

In second place on countback was Eirian Lewis with 32 points, playing off 11, and in third place, also with 32 points, was Ned Kelly, playing off 18.

In the division two category for 19 and over handicaps, the winner on countback was John Fogwill with 34 points, playing off 19.

In second place, also with 34 points, was Trevor Boyce, playing off 31, and in third place was Terry Hammett, with 33 points, playing off 21.

On Thursday 4 November, there were 31 entries, and the winner was John Fogwill on countback with 38 points, playing off 19.

In second place was Ian Tushingham, also with 38 points, playing off 15, and in third place on countback was Dick Perry with 37 points, playing off 17.’
