ST DOGMAELS are up to third position in the Costcutter Ceredigion League division one with several games in hand after a 5-3 win over second-placed Ffostrasol at Troedyrhiw Park.

Rhys Jones led the way with a well-taken hat-trick, two of his strikes being set up by striker Louis Harding, who helped himself to a couple of goals.

Carwyn Morgan scored twice for the hosts, along with a Gethin Davies penalty, but Ffostrasol slipped to their fourth league defeat of the campaign.

Felinfach sprang a 3-1 win away at Llangrannog, with striker Aled Davies putting the Milkmen in front, and Lewis Evans doubling the lead, whilst prolific marksman George Colven scored a reply for the homesters.

Aled Davies wrapped up the points in the second half to seal Felinfach’s third league win.

Cardigan Town notched their second league win when brushing aside Dewi Stars 4-1 at King George V Playing Field.

A Liam Doherty brace, and goals from Iwan Jones and James Evans put Town in the comfort zone, with Rhodri Morgan scoring the Stars’ reply

Crymych maintained their unbeaten start in division one with a battling 1-0 win at New Quay, with Rhodri George netting an early goal for their fourth league win of the season.

In division two Bargod Rangers proved too strong for visitors Maesglas at Parc Puw as they emerged as 4-1 winners.

Ex-Newcastle Emlyn striker Sam Skinner bagged a brace of goals while Tom Rogers and youngster Jac Griffiths were also on the scoresheet, with Adam Roberts netting for the visitors.

St Dogmaels Reserves sank Crannog Reserves 7-2 at School Field where front-runner Osian Thomas claimed a hat-trick.

Eddie Wigley, Jordan Owens, Tommy Furhear and Leon James also scored, with Jack Brookes and Rhydian Roberts replying.

In division three Llanboidy Reserves notched a 2-1 win at Crymych Reserves with goals from Dafydd Jones and Owen James, with Owain Richards netting for the Preseli men.

Felinfach Reserves brushed aside their Llechryd counterparts 4-2 with goals by Phil Petty, who netted twice, Keith Jones and Steffan Davies, with Oliver Leeming and Jack James on target for the visitors.

In the Cwpan Coffa Dai Dynamo Davies league newcomers Llechryd beat Cambrian Tyres Aberystwyth District League side Llanilar 3-1, with goals from Ben Davies, with a brace, and Dai Davies, with Sam Evans getting a reply.

Llandysul and Lampeter Town met for the third time this season in round one of the Costcutter League Cup at Llandysul Park and as was the case in the first two meetings it was Lampeter who came out on top.

Goals from Christy Gale and Scott Davies secured the win for the visitors, despite Osian Mason-Evans levelling matters for Llandysul at one stage.
