BIKERS from all over the country are gearing up for a charity ride in aid of a Llandysul-based rescue kennel.

The Ride Till We Rot motorcycle community – known as “The Rotters" – will be making their way to the Alpet Poundies rescue kennels near Llandysul on Sunday.

En route they will be collecting donations left at drop-off points in various businesses as arranged by the ride's organiser, Simon Justice.

“Simon is a long-time supporter of Alpets and has adopted two dogs from Linda White who has run the rescue for over 15 years,” said a supporter.

“The rescue is small and completely dependent on donations as it receives no formal funding.

“The kennels are currently caring for a number of dogs seized by the authorities during a well-publicised raid on an unlicensed breeding kennel.

“Many have needed veterinary treatment and there is now a day-old litter of puppies to care for.

“The Rotters’ run will be very welcome and a sight to behold as they make their way down the lane to the rescue!”
