A NEW Quay man who failed to reveal to police the identity of a driver suspected of committing an offence must pay more than £800 in fines and costs and has had his licence endorsed.

Luke Steer, of Maenygroes, New Quay, was found guilty of the charge in his absence under the single justice procedure at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court.

A further charge of driving without due care and attention was withdrawn.

The 24-year-old was fined £660, with costs of £110 and a £66 victim surcharge. His driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.
