THE minor injuries unit (MIU) at Cardigan Integrated Care Centre will re-open to patients from Monday (January 25).
The unit, which was temporarily closed in December to enable staff redeployment in support of the Covid-19 response within Ceredigion, will be open Mondays to Fridays between 9am and 4.30pm.
People are reminded not to attend the MIU if they have any symptoms of Covid-19, if they have been asked to self-isolate, or if they are awaiting a Covid-19 test result.
If people need to visit the MIU, attend alone where possible, wear a suitable face covering and keep to the 2m social distancing rules at all times.
Peter Skitt, county director (Ceredigion) at Hywel Dda University Health Board said: “We’re delighted to be able to return Cardigan MIU to full service and wish to thank the local community for their patience and co-operation during its recent temporary closure.”
