A DOG faces being put down if its owner is found guilty of two charges of being in charge of a dog which worried livestock.
Susan Cook, of Cwrtnewydd, had pleaded not guilty at an earlier court hearing to the two charges where sheep are alleged to have been attacked on land at Maeshelyg on February 15 last year at then at Dolgranod on February 18.
Magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre adjourned the case at the latest hearing when Cook was not present until January 28 when the 62-year-old defendant must attend as the prosecution is seeking destruction of the dog because it is alleged to have been involved in the two separate incidents.
Failure to attend could result in the court making the order as requested.
