A CRYMYCH motorist who had no car insurance or road tax when stopped near Cardigan has been banned from driving for six months and must pay more than £800 in fines and costs.
Martin John Duffield, of Hermon, Crymych, found the case against him proved in his absence under the single justice procedure at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court.
The court heard Duffield did not have insurance when driving a Mini Cooper on the A487 at Penybryn, Cardigan, on June 26. There was also no test certificate in force for the car.
Magistrates imposed a six-month driving ban on the 56-year-old due to repeat offending and also fined him £660. Duffield was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £66 victim surcharge.
