THE Teifi Valley was once again hit by flooding as torrential rain over Friday and Saturday triggered several flood warnings.
Natural Resources Wales issued flood warnings for Llandysul, Newcastle Emlyn, Cenarth and Llechryd as several properties were affected, with dozens of minor roads under water.
Llechryd bridge was once again submerged under the deluge of water, with the main A484 road between Cardigan and Newcastle Emlyn closed and four properties in the village affected
The river level at Glan Teifi peaked at just over 4.7m in the early hours of Saturday morning – at the height of Storm Callum back in 2018 it reached 5.99m – while at Llanfair it hit 3.38m compared to 4.3m back in 2018.
