AN UPGRADED flood warning has been issued all along the Teifi Valley from Llandysul down to Llechryd.
At Llandysul, the warning from Natural Resources Wales covers the fire station, Lewis Street, Cambrian Terrace, the A486 and B4476 roads.
In Newcastle Emlyn, properties alongside the river are under threat, including the rugby ground, while property adjacent to the River Teifi in Cenarth including the saw mill is covered by the warning.
The warning at Llechryd covers properties, the A484 road and Llechryd bridge.
The warning from Natural Resources Wales says: “The rainfall is forecast to continue until midnight tonight (Friday, December 18). This is expected to be heavy at times and will fall on saturated ground and river levels are already elevated.
“River levels in the River Teifi are expected to continue to rise in response to this rainfall through until early Saturday morning and will remain high through Saturday.”
