HUNDREDS of leaflets are being hand delivered to homes in the Aberporth area to highlight the project to rebuild the village hall.
The project – which will see the main 1930s hall demolished and rebuilt plus the smaller festival hall refurbished – has now received planning permission.
The plan includes new toilets, a modern kitchen, modular stage, extra storage and energy efficient heating and lighting.
Work is ongoing with a £450k bid to the National Lottery Communities Fund plus a £250k match-funding bid to the Welsh Government’s Community Facilities Programme.
The hall has also launched its own £10k fundraising target.
The leaflet is calling on local residents to get involved in the project by sharing fundraising ideas, taking photos and using social media.
Fundraising sub-committee chairman Kristina Jackson said: “We have never been so close to getting a new village hall. It is so important that the entire community gets behind this project. This hall will be our legacy for future generations.”
