A LLANFYRNACH man has pleaded not guilty to a string of animal welfare charges near Cardigan.
Alun Wynne Lloyd, aged 78, denied seven charges brought by the RSPCA relating to the care of horses at Esgyr Fawr, Cippyn, Cardigan.
Charges included causing unnecessary suffering to five horses between November 15, 2019 and December 29, 2019 and failing to meet the needs of 31 horses on or before December 28 last year.
Magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre adjourned the case until November 23 for trial, to continue on November 26.
