VOLUNTEERS from the King George V Playing Fields Committee - Jess O'Connell, Wendy Wooldridge and Maureen Webley - have received a cheque for £100 from sales of a 2020 Calendar produced by Debbie's Jewellers, Newcastle Emlyn.
Park manager Jess thanked them and said how grateful the group was for such donations.
"We have lost income this year due to Covid-19 as many of our planned fundraising activities have not gone ahead - and the Annual Bonfire Night will also be cancelled.
"We are not Council-funded, and with maintenance and insurance costs close to £2,000, we more than ever need the support of the local community."
