A LONG-awaited pedestrian crossing in Cardigan could yet appear at Bathhouse Road, near Theatr Mwldan.
Cllr John Adams Lewis told a meeting of Cardigan Town Council that he had spoken to Ceredigion council’s highways officials and they will look into it once the pedestrian safe zone scheme has come to an end.
Problems with crossing the road and the dangers posed to pedestrians has been highlighted recently by Cllr Sian Maehrlein.
She said she has found reports arguing for a crossing in the area around Theatr Mwldan and Small World Theatre going back more than 20 years
Cllr Maehrlein argues the area is especially dangerous for children, the disabled and elderly due to parked cars often restricting visibility and the lack of a pavement on one side of the road.
