A BRYNHOFFNANT man who was more than twice the legal drink-drive limit has been banned from the roads for 17 months.
Dylan John Thomas, of Brynhoffnant, was caught driving a Ford Transit van on October 2 on the A487 with 76 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
The 56-year-old pleaded guilty to driving while the proportion of alcohol in his breath exceeded the prescribed limit.
Magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre banned him from driving for 17 months, along with a fine of £340 and order Thomas to pay £85 costs and a £34 victim surcharge.
