THE Ffostrasol Arms pub has been permitted to reopen after improving its procedures and facilities in response to a closure notice issued on October 15.

The pub had been required to close by public protection officers from Ceredigion County Council and Dyfed-Powys Police after breaches of the Health Protection (Coronavirus Restrictions) regulations.

A council spokesperson said: "Since the closure notice was issued, the proprietors of the public house have been working with public protection officers to make improvements.

"The premises has been permitted to reopen as officers are now satisfied that sufficient steps have been taken to ensure that the premises and staff comply with the coronavirus restrictions."

The permission to reopen comes as Wales enters a two-week coronavirus fire-break starting at 6pm tonight (Friday, October 23).
