World darts star Jamie Lewis of Cardigan, who is taking time out from the sport, is adamant he will return to the oche at a future date.

The 28-year-old former Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) world championship semi-finalist announced earlier this month he was getting himself into “terrible habits” affecting his health.

In a later post on social media the former world youth champion stated “I am focusing on getting my mind and my health right.”

He went on to say he has not decided when he’ll return to the oche, but insists he is not giving up darts permanently.

Lewis has taken on the best in the land for the best part of a decade, the highlight of his career undoubtedly reaching the last four of the World Championships in 2018.
