Cardigan Branch of Soroptimists International have completed a beach survey at Poppit Sands on behalf of The Marine Conservation Society.
The women itemised, recorded and weighed all litter collected across a carefully measured area.
The members were pleasantly surprised at how little litter they collected - and can only assume the anti-litter message is being successful.
They all sent their grateful thanks to tourists and locals for helping to keep Poppit such a joy to visit.
The Marine Conservation Society fights for the future of the oceans through people-powered action – with science on its side - for seas full of life, where nature flourishes and people thrive. You can find out more about their work at facebook.com/mcsuk/
