A PENCADER man has been sentenced to a total of four months in prison after assaulting a woman.
Robert Anthony Smith, aged 29, admitted assaulting the woman at Llanarth on March 29 having previously denied the charge when he appeared before magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre.
He also admitted criminal damage to a bathroom door and garden ornaments on the same date, as well as damaging an electronic tagging device on August 9.
Smith was sentenced to three months in jail for the assault, as well as a further month for the criminal damage to run concurrently. He was also given another month’s imprisonment for damaging the tagging device, to run consecutively.
A restraining order was also imposed preventing Smith from contacting his victim, while he was also ordered to pay costs of £150 and a £122 victim surcharge.
