A PENCADER drink-driver who was nearly double the legal limit has been banned from the roads for 20 months.
Bernard Roberts, of Maescader, Pencader, pleaded guilty to driving an Audi A3 with excess alcohol at Waungilwen on July 13. He had 67 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
Roberts also pleaded guilty to driving without a licence when he appeared at Aberystwyth Justice Centre.
As well as the 20-month driving ban, magistrates fined the 51-year-old £120, along with £85 prosecution costs and a £34 victim surcharge.
