CEREDIGION Citizens Advice is taking on more staff to help cope with rising demand.

The service, based in Napier Street at Cardigan, covers the south Ceredigion area, as well as north Pembrokeshire and north Carmarthenshire and has seen increased inquiries during the coronavirus crisis.

A Citizens Advice spokesperson said: “The economic impact of the COVID pandemic continues to affect many people and as a result we have seen an increase in demand.

“We have responded by increasing staffing levels to increase our reach to cope with the demand.

“Three additional posts will deliver support for the increase in demand for employment advice and for those in rural communities. The post of Money Buddy is currently being advertised. If you are interested in working for Citizens Advice, please contact enquiries@cabceredigion.org.”

The charity provides advice and support to people on a range of issues, with staff and volunteers continuing to work during the pandemic delivering services remotely.

Anyone wanting to contact Citizens Advice can do so by phone (01239 621974); by e mail enquiries@cabceredigion.org; web chat www.citizensadvice.org.uk or on-line (http://www.cabceredigion.org/).

“This service has ensured that we protect the health and safety of our clients, staff and volunteers while continuing to provide advice and support,” added the spokesperson.

”We know from feedback that delivering services in these ways are welcomed due to their speed and ease of access.”
