A CARDIGAN man must carry out unpaid community work and pay compensation after admitting to assault and theft charges.
Gary Thomas Ramshaw, of Maesglas, Cardigan, pleaded guilty to assaulting another man occasioning actual bodily harm in Cardigan on May 6, 2018.
Ramshaw also admitted stealing a mobile phone from another man on the same date when he appeared at Aberystwyth Justice Centre.
Magistrates imposed a community order on the 27-year-old, ordering him to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months.
Ramshaw must also pay compensation of £150, along with £85 prosecution costs and an £85 victim surcharge.
