A PENSIONER has been fined for possessing a firearm at Llanybydder without a licence.
Clive Robert Davies, of Corporation Street, Aberystwyth, pleaded guilty to possessing a single barrel 12-bore shotgun without a licence at Gorsgoch, Llanybydder on January 27 when he appeared at Aberystwyth Justice Centre.
Magistrates fined the 77-year-old £120, along with £85 prosecution costs and a £32 victim surcharge.
They also ordered the confiscation and destruction of the shotgun, along with two air rifles, two air pistols, and a box containing three .410 shotgun cartridges, one .380 bullet, three .380 blanks and nine .22 blanks.
