A PENCADER motorist who was clocked at more than 100mph on the A40 at Carmarthen has escaped a driving ban.
Caryl Yana Jones, of Maescader, Pencader, had pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing under the single justice procedure to driving a Toyota Corolla at 108mph on the A40 at Nantyci Showground on March 1. The speed limit was 70mph.
The 27-year-old was fined £350 when she appeared before magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre and was also ordered to pay £85 prosecution costs and a £32 victim surcharge. Her driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.
