A TEENAGE Cardigan drug-driver has been banned from the roads for 18 months.
Harrison Casey, of Bridge Street, Cardigan, was caught while driving a Ford Fiesta at Bridge Street on November 25 last year.
He tested positive for Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol (cannabis) with a reading of 12 microgrammes per litre of blood. The legal limit is two microgrammes.
The 18-year-old also tested positive for Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), with 75 microgrammes per litre of blood. The legal limit is 10 microgrammes,
Casey pleaded guilty to two charges of exceeding the drug-drive limit when he appeared before magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre.
As well as an 18-month driving ban, Casey was fined £200, along with prosecution costs of £85 and a £32 victim surcharge.
