LETTERS have been sent to building owners in the centre of Cardigan in the continued attempt to combat the mess made by roosting pigeons.

Action has already been taken by the Post Office and the town council is hoping that other businesses will follow suit.

“These requests have to go higher up the management chain but hopefully something will be done,” said Cllr Clive Davies at July’s meeting of the town council.

“People in the shops want something done as every morning they have to clean up the pavements and hopefully their head offices will understand the problem, respect the town and help to keep it as a good place to shop.”

The worst areas in town were recently highlighted following the street clean carried out by local firm Ultra Clean.
