A LLANYBYDDER man has been banned from the roads for 12 months for drug-driving.
Richard Marcus Jones, of Yr Hafod, Llanybydder, pleaded guilty to two charges of driving a Peugeot 207 on the A485 at Cwman, Lampeter, on August 23 last year while the proportion of a controlled drug exceeded the prescribed limit.
The 28-year-old tested positive for benzoylecgonine, with 261 microgrammes per litre of blood when the legal limit is 50 micorgrammes, and cocaine with 40 microgrammes per litre of blood when the legal limit is 10 microgrammes.
As well as a year-long driving ban, magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre fined Jones £280, along with prosecution costs of £200 and a £32 victim surcharge.
