A NEW Quay driver is due in court to face a drink-drive charge.
Alan Phillips, aged 73, is alleged to have had 46 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath when he was stopped while driving a Mazda CX7 on the A487 at Aberaeron on March 23. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.
The case against him at Aberystwyth Justice Centre was adjourned until July 17 because of the Covid-19 pandemic and Phillips was granted unconditional bail. No plea has yet been entered.
