THERE will be no relaxing or changing its position in relation to services and facilities it provides, says Ceredigion County Council.

The only exception is the scheduled reopening of the household waste sites.

A council spokesperson said: “The next review will be following the next three weekly announcement from the Welsh Government regarding the Covid-19 situation which is expected on June 19.

“The council’s harbour offices at New Quay, Aberystwyth and Aberaeron remain closed and there are no imminent plans to reopen these.

“The council does not support or condone any land or water-based leisure activities either within its harbours or at its beaches at this time.

“From a very early stage, as the Covid-19 situation has developed, Ceredigion County Council has taken positive and proactive steps to minimise the potential spread of the virus in Ceredigion.

“We would like to thank local residents for their ongoing support and understanding at this time as we seek to uphold and maintain this successful approach and the position in terms of the infection rate locally.”
