A SPEEDING crackdown was carried out at Blaenporth yesterday (Friday, May 29) by officers from Ceredigion’s Road Policing Unit.

Responding to community concerns, several drivers were stopped and reported for breaking the 40mph limit through the village on the A487, with speeds as high as 65mph being recorded.

Traffic cops in the county also stopped a driver who provided a positive roadside drugs test, while a quantity of cannabis was also recovered from the vehicle.
