A GIFTED student is using his talents to lift the spirits of his neighbours.
As a member of Westcliff High School for Boys Jazz Band, Daniel Weight, 13, plays the national anthem to cheer people up through lockdown.
Last week Daniel turned out to celebrate epic fundraiser, Captain (Colonel) Tom Moore’s 100th birthday, playing
“happy birthday” and prompting neighbours to sing along.
He said: “I have been doing this every week during lockdown, cheered on by my neighbours.
“One neighbour recently suggested playing for Captain Tom too which is how our street all ended up joining in signing happy birthday to him”
